The company recently predicted that the main future trends related to the virtual space are going to include the market enhanced ability to give fast responses to oscillations on the consumers habits, for example. Approximately 53% of users are operating on mobile or tablet devices, while desktop users represent about 47% of the sum of them. Plus, ‘Think with Google’ says that nearly 1 in 3 searches through mobiles are related to location.  


Other than using cell phones to access virtual mapping applications, some other highly mainstream activities that showed up strongly in the past years on mobiles were: TikToking, Tinder and other dating apps, watching movies and series trough tv services such as streaming platforms, online gaming and video chatting.  


The importance of smartphones is huge nowadays. To make it clearer, the average American adult spends about 4 hours and 1 minute on the internet though these devices per day, says eMarketer. Statista estimates that 196 billion mobile application’s downloads are going to be made on Google Play Store in 2021.


The app industry generates a $693 billion (about $2,100 per person in the US) worldwide in this same year. Data Reportal says that between 2019 and 2020, mobile phones users grew 2.4% and social media users 9%.
